State of the Union
In the early part of every early, The President of the United States presents his perception regarding the state of our union. This act is prominently viewed by many Americans and can be considered one the most principal speeches of their presidency. Unfortunately, the key word in the opening sentence is perception.
Perception is a very powerful and profound word, which paints a mental picture of what the politician wants us to see or in some cases what we personally want to hear! To expand on this premise, the analytical exchange of how perceptions influence our mental image can best be illustrated on the current political debate concerning the federal debt limit.
On one hand, we have some that have been in Washington so long that their mustard seed has penetrated the rocks and foundation of our self-governing institutions. On the other hand, there are those who are just biting their time for re-election by positioning themselves as the people’s candidate. Each candidate presents their perception of what will or will not occur if the debt ceiling is not raised or if budget cuts are not instituted. The candid reality is that regardless of what their position is, the actual measure of their leadership is based upon what personal price they are going to sacrifice. Sacrifice is not easy and has been something that is learned at an early age.
I recall in my early age how my mother and father were raising us with a set of core values. My mother wanted the best for her kids and she was willing to sacrifice to ensure they had what we needed not what we wanted. Mothers are the backbone of every family and they taught us how and when to be compassionate, and when to be firm. They constantly reminded us to act civil even when it was the most difficult task to perform. I could hear her now telling us to hold our head up regardless of what other people say because we were not what others say we were but what we did! As constituents of the this great nation, it should be fair to judge our politician not on what they say but what they do.
As our executive and legislative elected officials continue to negotiate our children and grandchildren’s future, I muse myself on what my mother would say. I am sure she would be uttering, pay what you owe before you borrow anymore. Maybe, by the grace of God, my mother can come down from heaven and whisper in our politician’s ears; Pay What You Owe Before You Borrow Anymore and leave the perceptions to the stressed out stock brokers and millionaire economist if there are any.
POTUS Imposes Sanctions on the American People!
There has been extensive dialogue on the use of economic sanctions during the course of international diplomacy but I struggle to understand how the President of the United States has applied a unilateral approach to economically sanction not only the people who elected him but the economy of a country he represents. Okay, before anyone gets their undershorts twisted up, the President did not write a specific executive order which states he has imposed sanctions on Americans but for the record; he has marshaled executive orders that have curtailed or abolished our ability to be energy independent. He has commanded the Environmental Protection Agency to not issue any new licenses regarding the construction of new oil refineries. He has ordered a moratorium on off shore drilling.
In the current wake of the sizeable rise in gasoline prices, the governmental bureaucracies continue to hand cuff our ability to not only extract the petroleum resources to generate jobs and lower gas prices but they have also ceased the issuance of new licenses to build new refineries. We are all aware that without refineries, the oil is useless as a product for consumption for our transportation means as well as our ability to compete assertively in a global economy. Why must our economy be at the whim of other nations? What happened to our independence?
It is a reasonable question to ask the President how come we are not drilling for oil and natural gas in our country. The President’s political ideology should not supersede the needs of our country! Is this republic government that our founders envisioned? Can someone please substantiate where in the U.S. Constitution it decrees that the President has unilaterally authority to control and oversee private industries! Why does the President want the American people, who are suffering from inflation and have very little disposable income be the victims of his political ideology? What is most disconnecting regarding his campaign for his political ideology on helping the working class and the poor but they are the ones who are getting hit the hardest with the rise in gasoline prices. Small businesses are attacked with an increase in cost for the delivery of products. Maybe it is part of the New World Order in promoting chaos and division so that government can be proclaimed as the liberator and justifying the expansion of the federal government much like national healthcare.
As a born and bred Texan, the time has come for Texas to battle the 4th branch of the federal government (bureaucracy) for our constitutional right to self govern and independently refrain from unfunded government mandates and unconstitutional executive orders that have oppressed the state’s ability to self-govern versus the federal agencies who are the fundamental beneficiaries of such orders.
It was Benjamin Franklin who was approached by the wife of the mayor of Philadelphia on the enactment of the U.S. Constitution as she asked him what the new government would be and he responded, “A republic, madam. If you can keep it.” As citizens of the this great country and as guardians of the constitution, it is our responsibility to ensure we keep this great nation a republic just as the men and women who have served and are serving in the Armed Forces to protect and defend the constitution. Let us restore our constitution, renew our commitment to a republic form of government, and reunite in our aspiration of less government by reducing an insolent and disobedient administrative government that restrict our liberties.
From I Have a Dream to the DREAM Act
There was a man who wanted a better life and believed there had to be a better way. He was not educated but he had a very strong work ethic and could catch on pretty quick. He came from a big family and his father taught him to be a hard worker, support your family, give thanks and praise to God, be a man of your word, and do not accept anything for free. You see, this man was raised in Christian home and at a very young age, he was embedded in the principles and laws of the 10 Commandments. His salvation would not be judged by how much money he acquired but how honestly he followed God’s law. As I look now at the principles of how men were raised back then and now, it would be fair to say a lot has changed. We do not follow the 10 Commandments anymore nor do we give thanks to God for giving us life. We are more possessed with who has what, who does not, and how do we make it fair to everyone. It is as though we have poised ourselves to be judge, jury, and persecutor and regardless of what is God’s law, we have chosen to make our own laws to benefit our own prejudices. Whoever challenges our views is not worthy of respect or mercy which brings us to issue of illegal immigration and the more emotionally contested subject; the DREAM Act.
If I was poll the multiple social networks regarding their opinion on this issue, I would receive very strong comments with livid passions demanding how come we should or should not pass this legislation. But what is more concerning about the perceived responses is that it would more thank likely lack the truth. You see, the prejudice (prejudge) is driven by what each side considers to be just or unjust and the common response is to refer to the rule of law. Of course which rule of law are we referring to? Is it the rule of law created by man or the one created by God? Are the current congressional laws that govern the naturalization of U.S. citizens just or unjust? For my reaction, I will defer to Dr. Martin Luther King who stated in his Letter from Birmingham Jail “A just law is a man-made code that squares with moral law or the law of God. An unjust law is a code that is out of harmony with the moral law.” Unfortunately we are like lawyers; each side will define what is moral, just, and unjust. Webster’s Dictionary defines moral as is in the teaching of what is right or wrong. But who does the teaching? The answers most commonly would be that teaching starts at home with our parents or in this day in age our grandparents. The patriarchal symbols of defining our moral character are the foundation of what we believe and practice until we choose a different path. In regards to what constitutes just and unjust, Webster’s defines just as right, fair, or lawful and unjust would to be the opposite.
So where does this leave us and our legislators who are receiving constant amplification of our opinions of what is fair and unfair. For me, my recommendation is to go back to the basic teachings of our parents who would say regardless of who we are; we are always responsible for our actions. The true answer in my opinion goes back to the 10 Commandments. If we are to live in a society of civil order, do we need to obey the rules just like we had to obey our parent’s rules? Someone can always make a case of how unfair or unjust someone or something is but I do not ever recall Christ saying that it would be fair to carry his cross. The course of our actions should not be to judge those who are in the crossfire of this issue but to let their actions judge themselves. Have the people who are in the crossfire violated the 9th Commandment of bearing false witness which is to deceive or lie? Have they coveted thy neighbor’s goods? Only those who are in center of this debate can honestly answer these questions and their salvation is in their hands and not in the hands of laws created by man.
I believe that we divinely know what is morally right or wrong and for me it starts with the rules that were established by my parents who received them from their parents and so on until the source is traced back to the 10 Commandments. If we cannot learn to live by the rules as a community or society then we should not have created rules. If the rules need to be changed then let us change them but hopefully not for the sake of rationalizing our immoral choices.
If I am to live my life according the values of my ancestors, then I would need to be a person of my word, work hard, be honest, expect nothing for free, and play by the rules. The Sins of My father may have been passed on to me but my salvation is in my hands and I will choose to be moral or immoral by practicing my values and obeying God’s law. May the Peace of the Lord be with you and our country during these times of uncertainty!
D Day II
With no disrespect to the WWII veterans who charged the beaches in Normandy, France but yesterday’s election outcome was one that shook the pillars of our government (Republican and Democrat). The rightful Americans of this great nation spoke with a piercing voice and flooded the polls to let our legislative leaders know that we will not take it anymore. We will not let our children’s financial future and opportunities be negotiated to the highest bidder. We are prepared to do whatever it takes to remind every American that we are not a Democracy to be ruled by the majority but a Republic that has limited legislative, executive, and judicial authority enumerated in the U.S. Constitution. The veterans of past and present have held this to be true with their service to our nation and the citizens of this magnificent country have done equally the same with their contribution in the election process. It is in the course of voting that upholds our liberties and autonomy and any lack there of only endangers our Republic to a point of extinction creating a new government of socialism and anarchy.
But now is not the time to sit and bathe in the glory of God’s victory but the beginning of an inspired American Spirit that will be more involved in our duties to self-govern through representation. So behold all those who were re-elected and newly elected, you have been measured and alerted to bring back our Republic and save our great nation that is now and forever “One Nation Under God!”

Loyalty – The Lost Treasure
We can all recall one of our favorite movies where the actor or actress goes against all odds and stands their ground for a simple principle. My favorite movie is “We Were Soldiers” with Mel Gibson who is a Lt Colonel in Vietnam and he is in a fire fight with the enemy. His radio operator is on the radio with headquarters miles away from the front line and they are asking for him to return back to base. He responds, “I will not leave my men”! What commitment, decisiveness, and character he demonstrated. A principle that is rare this days. Has this principle been lost over time and if so when did we loose it and where is it?
There was a time in our not to distant past when there was a nation that had one of the most resilient citizens in the world. This nation would stand side by side with its fellow citizens faintly noticing the color of their skin or the money in their wallet and they would take arms against an enemy foreign or domestic that threatened their way of life. They stood side by side based upon a principle dear not only to their hearts but their survival. The belief in this principle united a group of people in faith and commitment with a solemn resolve of nationalism and victory. This nation is better known to the entire world as the United States of America.
We represented freedom in every facet of our lives. We believed in goodness and fairness to all citizens in the United States and that every man, woman, and child in our world should have the opportunity to attain and practice this national ideology. But what was it that united such a vast diversity of people? What could bring different ethnicities, races, and social economic classes to serve one cause? My assumption is a word that once again is rarely used or observed in out nation’s moral character and that word or belief is Loyalty.
Loyalty is a tradition that is seldom practiced in today’s American society unless for selfish reasons. It is presumed that if you are American you are automatically loyal to one another. Although that may have been demonstrated in the earlier years of our nation a lot has changed. We have expanded in population and diversity. Our economy has dominated the world for the past century and our military is the most powerful in the world. And yet with expansion comes corruption to where our government officials are not as honorable as they once were. Politicians have stopped representing the American people and focused on serving their own interest. Politics has become a career that is being educated in our universities versus a civil responsibility to be conducted by ordinary citizens. Special interest groups have mastered the ability impact all levels of legislation ignoring the needs of the millions of voters and American citizens. Political parties have insisted that people choose one party over another and regrettable race and social class status have become a caste metric system to determine one’s political affiliation. Has it always been this way? Have we been divided on our loyalty to one segment of society versus another? Unfortunately the answer is yes.
As a young nation we had a division of political beliefs. We had those who believed in a strong federal government versus those who believed in an anti-federal government. We had some colonies who believed we should succeed from England and we had some colonies who wanted Independence. As our nation continued to develop our individual beliefs continued to develop right along with our nation assembling separate concepts and interpretations of the U.S. Constitution. We were a nation with settlers and Native Americans, Yankees and Confederates, immigrants and illegal immigrants, black and white, and the diversity carries on.
A very note worthy and historical factor was that regardless of our disagreements, divisions, and diversity we would come together as a nation during a time of desperation and necessity. We did not concern ourselves with the color of someone’s skin or what political affiliation they were associated with because we were unsurprisingly loyal to a concept of being American. A principle that I was drilled on during my young enlisted career in the Air Force and have since continued to treasure as my life has progressed.
As a non-commissioned officer it was my duty to be loyal to my troops as much as to the Constitution of the United States. Loyalty was a characteristic that was expected by every military person because we knew in the end it was all we had when we were in harms way. It saddens me that we do not practice this attribute today not because we do not have the capability but because we have lost faith in our political leaders, our government, and ourselves.
The leader of our country is being led by what many would consider an illegitimate president who limits legal access to his citizenship. We have leaders in our bi-cameral legislation that appear to be driven by their own agenda versus the needs of the American people. We have federal and state bureaucracies that infringe, control, and dictate every aspect our lives. We are engaged in a war that appears to have no exit strategy while at the same time we dissolve old alliances (loyalty) that have stood for centuries. Our financial institutions run away unchecked with limitless power over our economic instability and current proposed legislation does nothing better than re-create a fourth branch of government. The United States government continues to transcend from a body that governs to an agency that economically and unconstitutionally competes against the same people it collects revenue. Our country is peaking with unemployment and yet we focus on providing universal healthcare. The education system is focused more on teaching students to pass a test versus expanding the minds and ideas that are needed to lead our country in the 21st Century. Instead of building bridges of cooperation the federal government are focused on creating divisions and chaos with a primary motive of preventing any political unity in our nation that can decentralize their power.
One of the most rewarding advantages in campaigning across our great state is that I have the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life economically and racially. I engage with Republicans and Democrats and the one uniform conviction they share is that they are discontent and incensed with our politicians and systems of government. I have heard from numerous Democrats who have felt betrayed by the President of the United States who believe he has lied to them. I have engaged in conversations with many Conservatives who have felt neglected by the Republican Party in sustaining the conservative message. The stark reality is that as much anger and unsatisfaction they have towards our political leaders and system of government, it was created by us much like the legendary chronicle of Dr. Frankenstein creating Frankenstein.
We stood by and elected politician after politician with unconditional faith and loyalty to represent our values only to be mislead on their loyalty to special interest. I hope not to portray that all our political leaders and government leaders are corrupt but we honestly know the ones who really are. It has been said many times that actions speak louder than words and they continue to ignore the will and voice of the people only to bolster their status, fatten their war chest, or protect their way of life. Loyalty cannot be measured simply by uttering your loyalty but supporting your words with your actions not only on your beliefs but in your authority to those who trust you.
November elections are just around the corner and every registered voter in this great country will once again have the opportunity to conduct a job evaluation on our political leaders. Job evaluations are commonly conducted on most Americans on an annual basis and our elected officials are not exempt. We can choose to extend our political leaders career or instruct them to leave thanks to the beauty of our Republic form of government. The loyalty of every registered voter who exercises their right to govern will be validated and broadcasted to the entire world who wishes they had the same authority we have. Every voter will pay tribute to who they consider to be loyal in protecting their families and way of life.
I therefore declare that as civil citizens that we must be first and foremost loyal to our family. We must be loyal to our spiritual faith and pray that who we elect will guide our great nation to the principles of our Independence. We need to demonstrate loyalty to the U.S. Constitution which has always been loyal to us regardless of who was in office.
If we are asking others to take responsibility for their actions we must first start taking responsibility for our own. This starts with the simplest of acts but yet an act that rules a nation; Voting!
In God We Trust Again!!
Today is the beginning of a new day that brings back the honor and dignity to all Americans. We are currently in a social and political crisis that focuses on the parity between the socialist and elitist who are in constant conflict to control our nation. But today is the day of deliverance and Americans across this land say, NO MORE! We all love this country for what it stood for and how it was respected around the world. We are a nation that provides comfort and stability to the oppressed and evil empires that have no regard to humanity. Now we have an internal struggle in our country that is not between Democrats and Republicans but between Socialist and Elitist who are driven to serve their own agenda and ego. They have no honor in respecting the values and traditions that our fore fathers and mothers paid for in the name of freedom. They are obsessed with power, money, hate, and project anger towards the fundamental principles that the United States of America was founded on. Our Pledge of Allegiance has been censored in our public schools so that our children learn not to respect and understand loyalty to a Republic government or cultivate a sense of nationalism. The custom of prayer and God have been stripped from out public institutions so that we would loose faith, hope, and direction in our time of anguish. Our Bill of Rights are used like a coffee pot in the morning to jump start their fictitious agenda of creating equality and yet when they are confronted they use the same Bill of Rights for protection.
Who and where did these people come from? Why do they insist on taking one of the most creative and moral documents that the world has ever seen with the sole intention of destroying it? They do this because they are not Americans. They do not believe now or ever in the Christian principles that founded our great society. They are angry because it does not provide them with the sole power and respect which they feel is only theirs to possess. Socialist are driven by one agenda and that it to get an elite group of people in power while suppressing the rest of society with welfare, credit, debt, money, and political appointments. But what they forget or have chosen not to accept is that we are children of God and they have no power over him. God Bless America and all those who believed in its morality. God has provided us with a land that is abundant in natural resources and in a diverse human population to cultivate it. The United States has been chosen to lead the world through example by conducting itself with humility, honor, morality, and faith. The Statue of Liberty is a beacon to all nations that this is the land of liberty (freedom) and all she ask is that you pay tribute to our nation by understanding that freedom is not free and God is absolute to our elementary beliefs.
So I implore each and every American citizen to answer the call of civil duty and engage in the most fundamental act bestowed to us by our founding fathers that this nation is a Republic government. We are and shall for always be a Republic and not a Democracy. We elect our officials to represent and protect our fundamental Constitutional rights. We do not manipulate our country on popular issues or polls. We rule our country by holding each and everyone accountable to the call of freedom and allegiance to our Constitution. We control our government by hiring or firing politicians who do not represent or protect the fundamental principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We elect our public officials regardless of what political party they belong to because God is not Republican, Democrat, Independent, or a political organization. God is God and in him we trust not man. When man has lost trust in God and commences to trust in man’s intuition we are no longer the United States of America but in the beginning stages of hybrid Democratic Socialist government. So the next time you hear or see a political or public poll illuminating what the American people or society believe or support, pay no attention to them. They never asked your opinion of what you thought or believed so how can this poll be accurate. Political polls and straw polls are a science. Science is and always will be an art which is never objective regardless of its attempt to remain neutral. As long as a human has to verify or quantify an analysis of the data it will result with human subjectivity. God on the other hand is God. He does not ask for you to prove his existence because his existence is seen daily and all the good that man does. It is this underlying belief and tradition that made the United States of America what it is. It is a nation that exhibits integrity to people all over the world especially to our own.
To be American is to be a soldier who will fight and defend the principles of decency and fairness in the eyes of God with the understanding of respect, honor, and loyalty for one another. To be American does not mean that we are racially, ethnically, or socially equal but that we all have equal opportunities to attain our dreams. Dreams are something that our youth have forgotten or have never been exposed to because of the sensational journalism that promulgates a division and disparity among race and ethnicity. As parents and civil guardians to their future it is crucial that we provide and protect their opportunities in attaining their aspirations, goals, and ambitions. For this reason, it is imperative that we stand up today and exercise our exclusive responsibilities as American citizens and guardians of the Constitution.
As we engage in our quest to restore our liberties and way of life, it would be wise to recollect on our distress and ordeals that created conflict and division among our nation and never be divided again. We are answering the call of duty of uniting our faith and belief in the United States of America. We will once again regain the prestige and humility of God’s grace and his blessing so that we can share with our fellow man.

The Essence of Reagan
The Essence of Reagan
By Andrew “Cas” Castanuela
There has been much debate and discussion in regards to the Republican Party and the course it has taken. This discussion at times may have become heated and demonstrative. This is a good thing! I know it sounds crazy but if you really think about it, what is it that could get someone so upset about something unless they really cared about it. I know there are many Conservatives, Republicans, Constitutionalist, Independents, and Libertarians who at this point in our political struggles want to express their vision as it relates to the values, principles, and beliefs of the Party and the direction it should pursue. I personally would respond to their actions as being American. It is important for a party to go through some labor and reconciliation much like our Constitution. We have to remember to take a step back and look at all sides objectively much like we do in our own personal families. If you were to take a moment and reflect on families that have not gone through struggles and conflict, you will not recall any. Struggles and conflict do not represent our party as being dysfunctional or toxic but expanding and evolving. It is through the struggles that we find our identity.
If we take a hard and open look at what we each strongly believe in and want to stand for, you will see that each faction of the party believes in the U.S. Constitution. We all believe in God and look for him to guide and protect us. We all believe that as U.S. Citizens we deserve the opportunity to achieve the American dream such as owning our own business, our own land, marrying the love of our life, providing for and protecting our family, and defending that dream with a good old fashioned butt kicking to whoever wants to try and take it away. We all agree that this is impossible if you have a federal government trying to regulate every aspect of our individual and social freedom. We all understand that some elected officials who have abused our trust and power should be held accountable. It is okay to be upset with elected officials whom you believe have not represented your principles or have lost their moral compass. Citizenship is not for the weak but for the strong. Citizenship requires its citizens to take full responsibility for those who they chosen to represent them. Citizenship is an active participation in the management of our government. We cannot be conservative under man’s law but under God’s law.
One of the greatest lessons that Jesus has ever taught us was to understand how to turn the other cheek. Jesus stated, “Whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also”. This sounds very simple and unfortunately to a great degree we respond to this passage literally which is to say that we are suppose to physically turn the other cheek and take another blow. What we fail to realize is that Jesus was not speaking as a man but as the Son of Man and wanted us to understand that the act was not so much in turning the other cheek but to not surrender your spirit or faith. Our great nation was founded on this sense of spirit and faith and can be recalled by the words of Patrick Henry, “Give me Liberty or Give me Death”.
If we glance at what is going on today it would be fair to say that we are physically and spiritually being challenged and our faith and loyalty to our family, community, and more important to our constitution is being questioned. As a party we are starving for leaders who demonstrate integrity, accountability, and service but our search comes up empty or so we think.
We who were once united are divided and have created a garden of anger, hate, and resentment. This is not to say that it is not justified but if justice is what we seek then when will we be able to justify the election of a socialist party at the expense of our need to be righteous. We have many good people running for office and I highly encourage you to make your case for each of them to the people and the party but there is no room for corrupt elected officials. To put it this way, if you were aware of someone who puts down another person what does that really say about that person’s character? If they talk about them, what is to say that they don’t talk about me the same way? Let God deal with the hypocrites and traitors and let us focus on leading the charge of bringing back traditional common sense government to the people. For it is the spirit of liberty that unites us all regardless of which faction of the party you choose to be associated with today. Let Texas be the Lone Star for other states to pursue in attaining liberty and freedom from a centralized government. It is in our roots that we will find the divinity of free will and service to our country, families, and fellow man. These roots will blossom into a solid tree that will produce an abundance of fruit and prosperity for all races, denominations, and genders.
Our mission is simple and that is to collaborate, discuss, debate, and then unify and get people registered to vote. We cannot fear of expanding our party base within a nation that is looking for opportunity versus racial division. It is better to drive the fear of unification into our opponents’ hearts and minds and all the collectivist who drool at the idea of a divided America.
We, the silent majority of Conservatives, Republicans, Libertarians, Independents, Constitutionalist and for me personally, Reagan Republican have been awaken and are ready to stampede into the halls of government and reveal to this administration what real change is!
In closing I leave with the words of President Ronald Reagan who was giving a speech to CPAC Conference in 1982, “We want to expand personal freedom, to renew the American dream for every American. We seek to restore opportunity and reward, to value again personal achievement and individual excellence. We seek to rely on the ingenuity and energy of the American people to better their own lives and those of millions of others around the world”. So for me, as a Reagan Republican, I ask us to let us go back to the basics of conservatism, liberty, prosperity, equality, and nationalism as a party and a people.
Special Interest Vs American Citizens
This is a comment I wrote in response to an aricle on Congressional Quarterly.
http://www.cqpolitics.com/wmspage.cfm?docID=cqmidday-000003285286
CQ,
Thanks for posting this story! This is a clear indication to ever American Citizen of who has been running our government. It would have been really beneficial if we knew who all the special interest were involved in this lobbying effort. For example, LULAC, when do they speak for estimated 44.3 million Hispanics in the U.S. (Census, 2006) or Families USA, what is there membership level compared to the 300 million citizens of this country. I know my parents did not join and support LULAC back in the day so that they could get a hand out, in fact that is one of the reasons they quit because the organization was changing into a faction of the Democratic Party Agenda versus the traditional values they were raised with.
As citizens of this country it is time that we not only put a stop to disloyal politicians but to stop funding or joining these organizations who have their own interest in mind versus the people they are suppose to serve. When you think about it, what makes them any different than the federal government? It has always been said that the squeaky wheel gets the grease…well guess what; there is no grease for any of the wheels. Now is the time to restrain spending with the creation of new program. It is funny that the Democratic Party had been beating up President Bush for his spending and creation of new programs and yet here they are trying to create a new health care program. We need to control our spending and get back in the black with our books which mean tuff cuts for abused and fraudulent programs! The irony of their ideal logy is that the President is talking about a spending freeze and yet wanting to increase spending in other areas. It is like saying, I am going to quit smoking, drinking, and going out to eat to save money but I am still going to buy that big screen LCD television. If it does not scare you that this administration is trying to do whatever it can to pass this bill then we are in deep doo doo!
The difference between a fanatic and a fan is that a fan knows when the game is over and a fanatic cannot stand to loose. Those progressive Democrats need to learn what humility is because it will cost them their job, guaranteed!
Stay of Execution
I want to first thank the people of the great state of Massachusetts who came to the rescue of our nation in a time of dire need. It is acts like these that can remind all politicians and bureaucrats who holds the ultimate power in our republic government.
I also think it is unwise as Republicans that this is an endorsement or referendum for our party. The people voted because they did not want a specific part of federal legislation but they also want our economy moving in the right direction. We should not attempt to be so blind and not read between the lines on what the people are really saying. This is why I firmly believe that this vote is more of a stay of execution for our party to not go down a path of usual legislation but to lead with progressive legislation that protects the people’s constitutional rights and meets their needs. Now is not the time to say that the American people support a Republican agenda but a time to say we are going to be part of the solution and not continue Washington politics that will cost many Republican incumbents seats. Now is the time to demonstrate less government and more state sovereignty. The people do want health care legislation that decreases premiums and protects seniors from paying significant prescription expenses. The people want insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and doctors to assist in controlling cost much like they were willing to with President Obama. The people want our Medicaid program to be more cost efficient and accountable for those who use it. The people want accountability from these industries or pay the consequences. And most important the people would prefer the states control healthcare and not the federal government.
There is an old saying, be careful for what you wish for because you just might get it. Well, we wished and prayed for it and now we got it but the question is what are we going to do with it? The Democratic Party can choose to legislate or it can choose to be a lame duck but as a majority party any legislation that is passed or not passed will continue to reflect on their decisions and their party. What we do or don’t do as Republicans will also reflect on our incumbents who are not by all means safe in their re-elections. Republican leaders need to put all party politics aside and focus on the people’s primary needs because when the pavement hits the road, actions speaker louder than words! So let us be humble and focused on the country’s business at hand and be statesmen and not politicians!

Democratic Party Finally Shows its True “Colors”
Democratic Party is Not for US
The Democratic Party has finally showed its true colors after all these years. It wants to represent itself as the defenders of the weak, minority, and those that have been treated unjust and when finally one of their own steps out of line, they rally behind him and support their hypocrisy. Why is that? Are they better than the rest of us and do not have to be held accountable for their actions? Their own Democratic Platform on Civil Rights states:
“We have more work to do. Democrats will fight to end discrimination based on race, sex, ethnicity, national origin, language, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, and disability in every corner of our country, because that’s the America we believe in. We all have to do our part to lift up this country, and that means changing hearts and changing minds, and making sure that every American is treated equally under the law. We will restore professionalism over partisanship at the Department of Justice, and staff the civil rights division with civil rights lawyers, not ideologues”. If this is not a crock of crap then they deserve to be part of an organization that has no loyalty or integrity to the American people or our Constitution.
I am running on the Republican ticket because I have personally witnessed what the Democratic Party did not do for my father when he was running for County Commissioner. The Democratic Party has never done anything for the Hispanic/Latino people other than attempt to condition our values and beliefs that we were are mistreated or received unjust treatment. Their actions today just support what has been the real core of the Democratic Party and that is to preach segregation and conflict. Who has and who doesn’t. These are teachings of Karl Marx Conflict Theory on social behavior. What is even more disparaging is that this same Sen. is running an add on Facebook “Latinos for Reid”. The reality is that he meant to say it and thought that it was in private. What a two face. It will be of interest to see what the Hispanic Congressional Caucus has to say about this. If he has any dignity, he needs to do the right thing and walk away along with any other Democrat that supports him.
